Dear WeatherCat sky watchers,
We had an unusually heavy cloud cover this morning. It was unusual enough that I took a shot at it:

Yesterday, there was a chance of late season showers but the rain mostly disappeared before reaching land. Today we have occasional nuisance showers which was not forecast, but not enough to even generate one bucket tip. Only recently have the forecasters around here used the term
"nuisance rain," but it is a very appropriate phrase. It is possible to have just enough drops to be really annoying, but not nearly enough rain to do any good for anything.
Oh well, such are the conditions that prevail in California . . . . .
