Dear Blick and WeatherCat tempters of . . . . . .

Everyone says to hang on to your WeatherLink install CD but I'm not sure why. I think the chances of you using it are nil.

So you want to find out why to hang on to the WeatherLink CD?  That's easy!!  Just throw it away and . . . . . find out!!

Remember:

Yes, how could I forget? However, I will point out to you that holding on to my WeatherLink disk did nothing to help me out there.  :)

Hi Randall, Blick, and WeatherCat fans,

OK I will just put it with the other 10.000 disc I have collected over the pass 15 years I have them clear back with my first iMac 2.33 with a 4 gig HD actually the one buried in the garage was even smaller than that can't remember what size the HD was on it everything had to go on floppy disc

*Heavy sigh*, the perils of being a packrat is the extent to which you can easily become overwhelmed with - STUFF!!  In such cases you can have a scenario that is even worse than throwing something away that you'll need later: you've got the thing somewhere and can't find it!!

Not exactly by intention, but I have a copy of WeatherLink on my computer because I did try it - very briefly - before switching to WeatherCat's ancestor.  It might be easier to just install it on your hard drive and promptly forget about it.  Disk space is dirt cheap and should you ever need WeatherLink, you'll know where to look.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

After you install WeatherLink, but before you forget about it, be sure to do one thing. Otherwise, it won't work when you launch it, and you won't remember why.

- Select the WeatherLink application in the finder. (Applications --> Mac OSX WeatherLink)
- Get Info (Command-I)
- Tick the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox.
- Close Info window.

Now you can forget about it. ;)

Howdy Steve and WeatherCat procrastinators,

After you install WeatherLink, but before you forget about it, be sure to do one thing. Otherwise, it won't work when you launch it, and you won't remember why.

. . . . . .

You are so right Steve!!  Thanks for reminding us all!  [tup]

Now you can forget about it. ;)

And that was precisely the trouble - I had forgotten about it!!  :-[

Thanks again,

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

You probably already know this, but the best deals I know are the email prices at Archer Trading Post and Rainman Weather.

Steve:

Thanks for this tip from a while back. You just saved a buddy of mine a nice chunk of change on a new VP2. He's upgrading from a low-end PWS (with a usually non-functioning anemometer) from LaCrosse.
