 Ok I am looking to buy a VP2 plus next week
I found it on the web for $635.00 and the Weather Link Mac for $108.00
Does any one know where I can get a better price than this?

You probably already know this, but the best deals I know are the email prices at Archer Trading Post and Rainman Weather. They are well below advertised prices. Davis does not allow advertising below their suggested price, which is why you need to look around.

Which VP2 are you getting?

[EDIT] Ah, it looks like you are already using Rainman's price, and getting the 6162 VP2+ with standard radiation shield. Nice!  It looks like you could save 3-5 dollars by talking them into swapping the Mac version of WeatherLink in the package price.

Looks to me like you have done your homework. I checked three other places and the price you have is lower.

When I was shopping for my VP2 this past Spring Scientific Sales had the price prices I could find. I've dealt with them many times, always pleased. And if any future items were slightly higher, I still chose Scientific Sales because of the ole trustworthiness-and-familiarity thing. Their prices overall were either at or near the lowest.

 yeah Steve I was I had seen a picture of it before but not that close up
The Anemometer was stuck for wind direction had to take it back down to fix that other than it being smarter than me all it going well lots of ways to get alot more info from it

Your installation is simply and straight-foward, but definitely looks like you should be able to collect data as well as anyone - good job! 

Could you give us a quick description of how your set up your new station on the Weather station installation examples thread?

So far the only examples we have over there are so complex that some folks might run away screaming because they are afraid of heights!

 Stu the Vp2 has a lot more  things to play with, I have them mounted side by side to compare them for a while the only difference in the readings are VP temp 55 LC 54.3 Humidity Vp 40 LC 39 Pressure Vp 30.08 Lc 30.07 Wind Vp 4 Lc 3.7 and like I said there are so much more things on the VP to use.
Question should I install the weather link software on my computer?

Randall, you'll only need WeatherLink to set up an Envoy (mainly barometric pressure and extra stations).

Everyone says to hang on to your WeatherLink install CD but I'm not sure why. I think the chances of you using it are nil.
