WeatherCat And OS X 10.9
« on: October 08, 2013, 06:13:08 PM »
Hello folks,

We are currently testing WeatherCat on the GM of Mavericks and have become aware of a potential crash that can occur at random intervals when running on 10.9.

We are working on this, and will have a fix out as soon as possible, but for now suggest you do not upgrade to Mac OS 10.9 if you want to run WeatherCat.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Update: It looks like a problem with the Webcam preview window - if this is open, it will crash sooner or later. The work-around for now is to close the webcam preview window when your not using it.

I have been running the 10.9 GrandMaster release of Maverick for about a week with no issues or crashes - Maybe I'm lucky:-)  I have it also installed Maverick on my work computer, laptop and Media Server and it is rock solid and much faster.

Curiously, I have been running the latest WeatherCat with OS 10.8.5 at my cabin and it crashes frequently - go figure!!  Next time I go up there I'll update that computer to Maverick.

I'm running both too, GM for only a day but no issues so far.

(I've updated the first post to reflect this).
