Calculated cloud base

I am trying to understand the Calculated Cloud Base gauge. I understand the the two red pointers are the daily low and high. What I don't quite get are the three numbers in the gauge. Therefore, I don't understand the relationship between the numbers and the pointers. And I am further confused by looking at the Calculated Cloud Base graph. It is showing me cloud base much higher than the gauge. Can someone take pity and straighten me out?

I will try to:
The numbers in the gauge from above to bottom: current cloud base - lowest cloud base - highest cloud base from the actual day going from midnight to midnight. The pointers in the gauge show the same (two reds low and high, blue current). The graph you added shows the last 24 hours, just look at it where the new day begun and you will see the same values as in the gauge.

Thanks for the explanation Reinhard. I am still puzzled about one thing. Why are the pointers for lowest and highest cloud base not the same value as the numbers on the gauge for lowest and highest? In my screen shot, the lowest number is 3310 but the red low needle is pointing to approximately 4.2

You are right, I didn't noticed it. Maybe another User or at least Stu (after he will return from holidays) will bring a light on this one. I can only say that on my side all is working as it should (not really helping you, I know!).

My pointers and numbers on the gauge agree with each other. Did you make any changes to settings since your local midnight? Try shutting down and restarting WeatherCat? Just some guesses.

Thanks for the reply Steve; it triggered something I hadn't thought of. My computer went to sleep from about 3:00 am until 7:30. (I know that's a no-no.) Might that account for the discrepancy between the numbers and the pointers? I didn't think so because the graph looks normal, but perhaps the gauge goes wonky when WeatherCat loses its connection.
