Hi Jean and WeatherCat fans,

is it possible to set The forecast language with Weathercat?
beacause Stell Gauges display in english language and i've set the french language for weathercat

As far as I understand, WeatherCat is getting this forecast text directly from your Davis Weather Station.  So unless there is some way to change the language of your weather station, it can only appear in English.

Honestly, you are probably better off just ignoring that forecast.  Nobody knows for sure, but it appears to be based on the Zambretti Forecaster which was a circular slide rule like device that could be used with a barometer and basic observations to make a forecast when nothing else was available.  You can still buy one here:

http://www.meteormetrics.com/zambretti.htm

The trouble is that this device was developed at the end of the last century (around 1910) for the "gentlemen adventurers" of England.  At the time, this was a whole lot better than nothing.  However, even then its accuracy had something to be desired.  Compared to modern forecasting it is little more than a curiosity.

If you are curious, there is a AppleScript version of the original Zambretti Forecaster available for WeatherCat.  It is part of the WeatherCat Scripts:

Unfortunately, they too are in English.  I was working to make it possible to translate them when I discovered that AppleScript lacks the internationalization tools available for Macintosh applications.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

The strings come from a file in the station driver within WeatherCat - currently it isn't localisable. If you want to translate them into French, let me know and I'll make it localisable in the next development release.

Cheers,
Stu.
