Customise Data Export or Statistics tools
« on: February 13, 2013, 05:35:50 PM »
Stu.

Would be great if the user could 'customise' the Data Export, by being able to select the individual sensors they wish records from. I'm sure we used to be able to before but now it's all standard sensors plus any additional.

Even better would be the ability to also extract information for csv/xls file format for things like :

Daily date, TempHigh,TempLow,TempAve,BaroHigh,BaroLow,BaroAve,Precip readings.

I can extract (eventually) some data using Excel 'text to columns" but not obviously daily high/lows and averages which have been calculated elsewhere in WeatherCat particularly in the Statistics tool but from which we can't export as a csv/xls flle. (Now there is an idea :-) If one could select a particular archived day or month records and export it as csv/xls file, not just look at on screen ).

Hi JC,
True, in version 1.0x you could export a few channels individually but not everything (there were about 8 if I remember correctly). In 1.1 this was rewritten to be able to export everything or just the main channels that everyone has. There wasn't time to export the hourly data as well but this is on the cards and will be coming in a future version.

Cheers,
Stu.

Cheers Stu

I found a PDF to Excel converter program in the interweb, that does a great job of converting the reports, stiil a few a few things to do with them to get the info I needed, but  it it will do work for the time being.

I'm missing a few daily reports at last year that just don't appear in the saved WCatat report documents, is there any way  I can re-manufacture them or are they lost in the ether forever ?

Cheers  [cheers1]

Currently it isn't possible to produce a report for a give date JC, but that too is on the road-map.

Stu.
