New cattery meowing
« on: January 26, 2013, 08:57:23 AM »
Hi Stu

Couple of things missing yesterday after the move from one computer to another, easily sorted by generating new custom graphs and a banner, not sure why the settings vanished for them, or what I did wrong in the transfer.

Midnight the daily report was generated and email sent, but no report saved in the /Documents/WeatherCatReports folder  [banghead]
All I have are the transferred flles from the other computer, any ideas on what I've done wrong ?

 [cheers1]

EDIT: On checking all my files, the report WAS saved, looks like when I was copying folders using a USB drive, I started a new documents folder inside the ~Documents folder, so my saved reports were in the wrong location, the  [cat] saved it in the correct location.  [banghead]

Ah well.  [computer]

Hi JC,
Check you've moved all the files listed on the wiki: http://wiki.trixology.com/index.php/Installation_And_Requirements

After moving the folders and files to the new machine, check they all have the correct permissions. Normally the Migration Assistant does this correctly (if you're migrating a whole user for example), but if you've moved them manually then there's the possibility they'll be wrong which can lead to either files not being read correctly, or a failure to write.
