Release notes file somewhere on the web?
« on: July 16, 2012, 10:36:05 PM »
Howdy Stu and WeatherCat fans,

There is an old LWC user who is playing "hard to get" about upgrading to WeatherCat on the MacWeather forum.  He wanted to see the complete list of changes between LWC and WeatherCat and the only thing I could refer him to was the release notes that are bundled with the WeatherCat package for him to read up on all the changes.

Not sure it is worth it, but just in case.  Some software packages put the release notes file on the web so that you can look at all the revisions in one place and without having to download any software.  I don't know how many folks actually like this, but being somewhat "programmer inclined" I like to have access to the release notes before downloading anything.

So if the suggestion seems worthwhile, could you include a link to just download the release notes file for WeatherCat?

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Hi Edouard,
In the documentation folder of the WeatherCat package is a document detailing the differences.

A list of changes from WeatherCat V1.0.0 onwards are available on the wiki - this gets updated on each release: http://wiki.trixology.com/index.php/Release_Notes

Hope this helps,
Stu.

Howdy Stu and WeatherCat fans,

That's really the info the fellow needs.  I told him to download the package and grab the file.  There aren't going to be that many cases like this to make doing anything else worth the trouble.

A list of changes from WeatherCat V1.0.0 onwards are available on the wiki - this gets updated on each release: http://wiki.trixology.com/index.php/Release_Notes

That essentially what I was asking for and is a very good use of the Wiki.  So consider this problem - solved!!  [tup]

Thanks Stu!!  [rock]
