Anyone using PWSWeather (AerisWeather)?
« on: December 20, 2021, 11:55:48 PM »
After installing the new ßeta, I checked all my 'partners' and found that PWSWeather claims I am "Inactive" The WC window for that Additional Service shows "Server busy/unavailable". However, there is no indication that the data is being "Acknowledged". Console also shows that WC is sending info.

Contacted PWSWeather "Support" and they suggested I use curl to manually forward data to them. [banghead] I suppose I could create a PHP script and a LaunchAgent, but I am extremely lazy. [banghead]

In a "COMING SOON" section is an "API Key" that appears to be inserted by the dashboard page. The text below says:
Quote
Use this unique key when posting data to the PWSWeather API from your weather station software. You can generate a new key, but you must also update the key used when posting data to the API.
This is most likely a unique string for every user and includes a "Regenerate" button. I don't know where I would enter that string in WC, but I've missed this kind of thing wonse befour... [rolleyes2]

Dear X-Air and WeatherCat faithful,

. . . .

Not sure what your problem is, but after rolling back to WeatherCat 3.1.2 my PWS uploads are going fine.  Here is my weather station on PWS:

I've rolled back also. I found that WeatherCloud and WU were also giving me the "Server busy/unavailable". I'll give things a couple of hours and if things are back to normal ops, I'll post on the '3.1.3 ßeta testing' thread for Stu's information. Perhaps he used an older/out-dated FTP code segment. ???

My Weather Underground and PWS Weather uploads both failed with the beta version, as noted in my post in that thread. Reverting to 3.1.2 fixed both.

Correction: I somehow forgot to include the PWS Weather failure in the other thread. I just amended my post to correct that missing bit.

Note to Admins:
Not a PWS problem. It is related to WC 3.1.3 ßeta. "Close" or delete this thread at your discretion. :)
