Ecouard,
Thank’s for your suggested repairs.  I just now found that if I deleted a custom gauge and then reinstalled it the bezel was again round!  It’s a mystery to me but i’m happy non the less.

Great! Thanks for letting us know what corrected your problem, even if we still may not know why it happened! [lol] Sometimes "computers" have a mind of their own! [computer] [banghead]

Despite being “corrected” the gauge bezels slowly become ellipses of greater and greater eccentricity. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am running WC 3.1.2 Build 34 on macOS 11.6.2 (Big Sur). I had to reboot my iMac yesterday and for the first time ever, I see that one of my custom gauges on my desktop (not on my website) displays an elliptical bezel. Screenshot attached.

Frankly, I had to re-read The Manual just to get some of my Custom Gauges onto the Desktop! At any rate, I've now got the "Temperature" and "Wind Speed" custom gauges displaying on my Mac mini Desktop. I'm not sure what "Outside Cooling" is generated/calculated so I'm using "Pressure". I'm just displaying these to see if I can duplicate this elongation-of-the-bezel behavior. OTOH, I'm still running 10.15.7, but WC V3.1.3 Build 134.

The elliptical bezel marks the return of the Edsel.

I think that proves the "Ford Effect". Ford made an Edsel and a Monterey!! [blush]

The strange thing about this effect is that it affects only the bezel, not the actual gauge markings. Hopefully that will help the Dev to track down the problem; probably two different functions being called. [computer] Perhaps the one crating the bezel is using some bad code in Monterey.

An aside. Has anyone having this problem changed the bezel style to check for different behavior? Would be [interesting] to know.

FWIW, the developer exchanged a couple emails with me I sent him via the sales email address, and he approved my account here, so he’s not totally MIA. I wouldn’t say the responses were fast (took almost a week to get approved here, and only after a follow up message to ask him to press the button), but apparently he’s still partially around.

If anyone has experience with the Silicon Labs USB a driver for Davis (etc) weather stations, please feel free to see my message elsewhere in this forum: https://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=3380.0
