Some Details About the Water Problems in CA
« on: August 08, 2021, 08:09:54 PM »
Specifically the Oroville [CA] Dam System. This system actually has three separate power stations (described in the video). Unfortunately, half of the turbines (all six at the Hyatt power station) are now shutdown because the water level is below the intake level! Not sure why the author of this vid made it other than he lives nearby. He normally discusses aviation related topics.
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Dear X-Air, and WeatherCat western USA drought watchers,

Specifically the Oroville [CA] Dam System.
. . . .

Thanks for sharing.  Sadly, the water supply situation in California is pathetic even if the voters approved measures to fund expanding the water reserves.  No amount of human stored water helps the wild vegetation.  Anyone with an interest in wildfires (and that should be everyone in California) is looking over the situation with great concern.

Oh well, . . . . . Edouard
