Hello from the UK!
« on: February 19, 2021, 05:23:34 PM »
Getting myself up and running on this very interesting forum.  I've been a Davis Vantage Vue man for some years and was running Weathersnoop 3 until Catalina caused the arrows on me gauges to fall off!
The cost of an upgrade was no cheaper than the full price so I decided to have a change - and I'm really enjoying WeatherCat  [woohoo].

Welcome AboaRd, Chris! Don't worry about any language problems, most here have English as a second language! My main problem is spelin'!

Dear Chris, X-Air, and WeatherCat welcome wagon, . . . .

Getting myself up and running on this very interesting forum.

By all means, let me also welcome you to the WeatherCat forum!!

I've been a Davis Vantage Vue man for some years and was running Weathersnoop 3 until Catalina caused the arrows on me gauges to fall off!

I'm glad that you decided to make the change and join us!  [tup]  I hope you will enjoy using WeatherCat as the faithful around here do!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Thanks all for the friendly greetings - and a quick, newby, question - how do I attach the banner from the generator to my postings?  (sorry if I've missed the obvious)
Chris

If you want to have a WC Banner here, you'll first need to have some Internet space where you are allowed FTP access. That usually means a place where you can install a web site. I can remember when I first had interweb access, the ISP actually "gave" everyone a few kilobytes of space! That didn't last long. Now it is a "Web Hosting Service" that you pay for.

If you already have that, it usually has an FTP access function. Then all you need to do is 'tell' the WC Menu->Tools->"Banner Generator" what data you want to use. More details if you need them. Be advised an Admin may move your post to another area of the forums.
