Comcast changes their SMTP rules.

Dear WeatherCat faithful,

Some time ago my WeatherCat related emails stopped arriving.  Sadly with so much chaos around here, I didn't immediately notice.  When I finally took a moment to investigate I determined that Comcast was no longer allowing you to send emails which were not from their domain.  In year's past you could your ISP's SMTP server for all your outgoing email and that is indeed what Postbox recommended.

Since WeatherCat uses email account associated with my web hosting provider, I decided to use their SMTP server instead.  GoDaddy doesn't make this the easiest thing to do, but clean living and suitable stubbornness eventually prevailed.

So if anyone else is using Comcast to send their outgoing WeatherCat emails, you might double-check to make sure those emails are still being sent unimpeded.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
