where's the failed email messages?
« on: February 09, 2020, 12:12:27 AM »
So my router shut down just before midnight and weathercat couldn't send my daily report. Is that "failed" email saved/stored somewhere? that hopefully, I can retrieve it? or is there a way to regenerate a daily report?

Thanks!

Ken

Look into Data Export tool. (Re: where's the failed email messages?)

Dear Ken and WeatherCat data-o-holics,

So my router shut down just before midnight and weathercat couldn't send my daily report. Is that "failed" email saved/stored somewhere? that hopefully, I can retrieve it? or is there a way to regenerate a daily report?

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to recover the emails that weren't sent.  However, the data you seek is created by the WeatherCat data export function.  You can read more about this tool starting on page 64 of the current WeatherCat manual.  You might find the data file you need in the folder ~/Documents/WeatherCatExports.  WeatherCat saves a copy of the data to your hard drive in addition to emailing it to you.

Let us know if that's enough to get you reconnected with your data.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
