« on: January 29, 2020, 01:00:49 AM »
Hi all,

Is there a procedure to perform a factory reset on a Vantage Pro 2 console? Thanks.

From the manual: "Reset the console by removing AC and battery power then re-storing power."

However, this is under the section off what to do if your console locks up, so I don't think this will clear everything out as it is also listed as what to do when changing the batteries.

What's happening that you want to factory reset in the first place?

Tried that, but there are numerous settings that remain as they were entered during the previous SETUP.

Since "removing AC and battery power" is "listed as what to do when changing the batteries", I'd suspect there are some large capacitors on the circuit board, just to prevent a factory reset 'accidently'. Leaving the Console totally unpowered for 10 minutes might work. That would likely dump all data between it and WC, of course.

Still not sure why you want or need a "hard/factory" reset. :o Enquiring minds... :)

And the United States = The Banana system

I assume you have also tried changing the parameters and the changes have not saved. IfF so, call Davis Tech Support. That doesn't sound normal.
