Mail losing messages in Catalina

Apple insider is reporting that users of Mail in Catalina macOS 10.15 are losing emails. The dev of Spamsieve confirms the problem. The link below suggests it is possible, although difficult, to use a Time Machine backup despite Apple Support ?Techs? saying otherwise.Also read that the 15.1 ?eta is already in the hands of testers. Hopefully that will have a fix for the Mail problem.
