Dear WeatherCat climate watchers,

It is June 1st so I can report back on what happened in May at Canebas Weather Station.  I couldn't figure out how to get a neat display from WeatherKitten so here is old reliable WeatherCatRCP:

Of course the location for the data remains the same:

It was another surprisingly wet month here.  Alas by the time you reach May, the rainfall amounts disappear quickly as the temperatures start to climb.  The dry season has most definitely taken hold and there won't be any real relief until November.

Such are da' conditions that prevail in Northern California.

In the mountains of northern Utah, May was
Warmer than average (47.68° F versus an average of 46.42)
Wetter than average (2.75 in versus an average total of 2.23)
Calmer than average (a wind run of 3,069 miles versus an average of 3,225)

And we are still in very serious drought, along with most of the western United States.
