Dear Steve, Blick, and WeatherCat climate watchers,

Thank you for your contributions.  Unfortunately, I ran into another round of serious health problems, so I'm behind on everything.  However, here is the report from Canebas weather station - better late than never:

May was...
Warmer than average (15,69°C versus an average of 14,12)
Wetter than average (256,60 mm versus an average total of 54,64) --> 257mm = ±10 inches
Windier than average (a wind run of 1.846 km versus an average of 1.639)

So it remains to be VERY wet in the Netherlands. Winter was record wet, March and April were wetter than normal, and May ended up being extremely wet with (for my station) roughly 5 times(!) the normal amount. 'My' town was among the wettest in the country, mostly because of a very local (but heavy) rain shower on 16 May, dumping 60mm of rain in an hour.  [rain2]

Flooded cellars are common in town. Part of the woods around here are inaccesible (flooded).

Dear Steve, Jos, and WeatherCat climate watchers,

Thank you for your contributions!

Here is the usual report from Canebas Weather station with the usual plug for Grand's WeatherCatRCP:

Thanks for sharing.  Not surprisingly, France finds itself in a similar predicament.  So far none of our relatives have been effected, but we do keep an eye on the situation.

June was...
Warmer than average (73.12°F versus an average of 69.28)
Drier than average (2.04 in versus an average total of 3.48)
Calmer than average (a wind run of 1,214 miles versus an average of 1,480)

The last few months, my average temperature has been 4-5 degrees higher than average. While it has been warmer, it hasn’t been that much, nor consistent. Late in June I hosed down my weather station, including up through the temp sensor. Immediately it started matching other reports in the area. No idea how long it has been creeping up, so my data is skewed.

Don’t be like me. Clean your systems!
