Anyone else having wonderground webcam uploads failing?

I've been getting this error   04-Sep-2016:  FTP: curl: (7) Failed to connect to webcam.wunderground.com port 21: Operation timed out
I was getting it on 2.3 and now 2.4  also.  Anyone know what this is about?  Did they change their IP perhaps?

Dear WeatherCat data upload junkies,

For the past few days I've been getting FTP upload errors and even FTP Overdrive errors.  When I check the WeatherCat activity the troublemaker is trying to upload webcam images to Weather Underground.  Anybody else getting this sort of errors?

A curious mind wants to know!

N'ah . . . . could be!

I'm noticing that it comes and goes.  So I don't think the problem is any of the WeatherCat settings.  I suspect this is part of the continued upgrade of Weather Underground by the Weather Channel which ultimately is now owned by IBM.

I suppose some disruptions are unavoidable and it would make sense that they would do this sort of thing over a holiday weekend.

I've been having the same issues since sometime on Friday. I didn't upgrade yet, so I'm pretty sure it is a Underground problem.

Same problem here, mine stopped uploading mid-afternoon EDT last Friday (9/2). Seems that the only webcams in my area continuing to update are those using the URL method where WU 'pulls' the images.

FTP method continues to fail (latest ping):

For awhile, my webcam image just didn't update, now I have a "Missing webcam" pictorial.

I suspect it is simply "maintenance" or changes to their equipment. I've just attempted to update my settings with the URL method. I must say, their form is one of the most frustrating I've ever seen. Clicking into a field instead of tabbing fails every time I try it. It fails by putting any new typing into the field I had last tabbed into. Secondly, there seems to be no way to delete a completed (and not accepted) request. IBM has a lot of work left to do on the UI, in my humble opinion. It's probably just a frustrating job of re-building, understanding code written by people who are no longer around.

I noticed that the size of "acceptable" images is also quite small: 150K. That rules out most anything wider than ~640 pixels. Perhaps they have been neglecting that 'rule' until recently?

I am the same as Randall. No uploading error messages, just no uploads. There are no longer any PWS webcams anywhere in my area on the WU map. It does still display the traffic cameras from the Dept. of Transportation.

Hi Cat Family
 They are receiving my webcam picture but it is not associating it with my personal dashboard at WU, went and tried to associate my webcam with my dashboard page but for some reason it is not saving it after I hit the save button contacted Support about it not saving it on there end

PS: here is their reply and it does work:Hello,
Is the association on the PWS page? Try the association on the webcam page, which should save properly.
Sign into wunderground.com, click the member icon on the top-right (next to the settings gear), then ?My Webcams?. Click edit next to it and scroll down to the bottom. There will be a drop-down option next to "Associate with PWS?. Click that, pick your station, then ?Save Changes?.

Yeah, I gained a URL'd webcam and lost my 'medallion'. You win some, you lose some, and the rest get rained out!

I regain my medallion about once a week for a few days and then lose it for a few days. As it is a very prestigious award this is ruining my life.
