Change Web-Page Location..
« on: April 15, 2012, 04:30:51 PM »
Hey All, Loaded and took a look at WeatherCat, and first thing I Notice is I cant use the Same Folders to save Pages.
This would require me Changing a few HTML files and links. Seems you could define a Folder as the old LWCdata?.
This feature would allow a lot less work to be involved..

Sorry, but I don't understand which settings you are trying to change.  You can change the location where web page templates and the processed web pages are left on your hard drive before being uploaded to your web server.  What other locations are you referring to?

If worse came to worse, you could always use OS-X aliases or UNIX symbolic links to get around this.  However, you shouldn't need to resort to that.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

I Had Tried to Save the Webpages in the /LWCWEB folder as to not have to Change any of my Pages or Links, But WeatherCat appends the /WCWEB no matter Where I try to keep the Files.
The Idea is to keep the Same Folder as LWC2 as this is actually Running on my Server so No FTP upload Needed..Hope this makes some sence, but when I Try to change in Preferances Standard Web Page, it Appends the /WCWEB.

Hi Nate((N8NOE)
 LWC appends LWCWEB
WC appends WCWEB
You will have to change your links to get it to work

Randall, THANKS I was kinda afraid of that... Seems a Quick change in Code would let you save to the Folder you like.
But I'll keep my Eyes on it.. Been using LWC for some time and not sure I'll JUMP the minute WC is released yet..

Hi Jeff and WeatherCat "observers."

Certainly caution is the better part of valor, but perhaps in this case you need not be quite so conservative.  WeatherCat isn't some completely new program but really is "LWC 2.5 in disguise."  The beta testers have been using WeatherCat for over a month and we won't go back!  [cat]

WeatherCat is every bit as tough and stable as LWC ever was.  So perhaps hang out on the forum for a bit, but if you look at the sort of bugs that are being reported - I sure wish most of the other software I use was this good!!

Stu, you rock!!  [rock]
