It was indicating last update as Dec. 14, 2015, but after following Randall's lead, it now shows January 15, 2016.

Yaaay? Half way through January.

I have a copyright notice on my website and I have to clear my cache every New Year's Day in order to see the updated date.

Yeah, I noticed that your's kept pretty good time, Blick! I thought it strange that my computer was getting an up to date reading with your banner, but a month old from Edouard. Is it my local cache that traps webpage bits to save bandwidth later, and then doesn't know when they've changed? If so, why would it get sticky on Edouard's and keep your's poppin' fresh?

OK another 2 cents worth
I think it has to do with how often the computers are rebooted if Blicj reboots often and Edouard doesn't then the cache doesn't change for that graph sounds good anyway LOL

I like this theory. I reboot about once a week. Edouard last rebooted when G. Bush was president. However, Edouard's rebooting frequency would not impact what Herb sees when he is looking at Edouard's banner, would it? Or would it?

Today, Blick's is updated to Jan. 16. Edouard's is still Jan. 15. Randall's is showing a blue question mark, but clicking on it takes me to his page. It was showing that yesterday too, but I thought it was just a temporary glitch.

The banner, as it shows on the forum, is only updated when a member posts something. I have been active today, but Edouard is driving his Buick around looking for El Ni?o and Randall has not made it out of bed yet. This explains why you are seeing what you see. Although Randall's banner displays fine on my iMac, showing yesterday's date (the time of his last post).

Dear Herb, Blick, Randall, and WeatherCat Internet troubleshooters, . . .

I like this theory. I reboot about once a week. Edouard last rebooted when G. Bush was president. However, Edouard's rebooting frequency would not impact what Herb sees when he is looking at Edouard's banner, would it? Or would it?

Well, it sounds like a good theory, but it doesn't take into account the "helping hand" of Tim Cook. >:(

Ever since I upgraded to Yosemite I've had a persistent system memory leak.  Right now I can barely go 2 weeks without rebooting - no more.

I have been active today, but Edouard is driving his Buick around looking for El Ni?o and Randall has not made it out of bed yet.

Are you kiddin'!!  My trusty wagon isn't going out just to get soaked with drizzle!  Besides, I don't have to go looking for El Ni?o, it is supposed come roaring down upon northern California tomorrow afternoon doing its own imitation of the biblical flood! . . .  [rain2] . . .

Recon Edouard can explain it?

In a situation like this there can be only one suspect . . . .  gremlins! . . .

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Still the same, Randall. Actually, it was after following the suggestion to refresh the page that I became somewhat concerned, seeing that your banner was, shall we say, questionable. :)

I can't explain it. I'm not using a banner, since I don't have a personal weather page.

Dear WeatherCat "gabby" . . . . shutterbugs, . . . .

Hey there seems to be way too much talk on this thread and not nearly enough pictures!  So let's nudge things back toward some photographic eye candy.  How's this for something different?

Now don't give me any excuses about the cold this winter, get those cameras out and start snappin' . . . .

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
