Hi Randall and WeatherCat memory . . . .

What is it with WeatherCat and compressed memory?
I think I have a handle on at least one aspect of WeatherCat 2.x memory issues. I temporarily relocated the file:
WeatherCatCustomGauges.plist that you'll find in the following folder:
~/Library/WeatherCatDataSince doing that, WeatherCat is using less than 300 MB of RAM. That suggests to me that OS X has some memory leaks in the Open GL graphics library that Stu uses to create the WeatherCat custom gauges. I have a dramatic before and after memory graph to post but it isn't clean enough to make a good comparison. It will be tomorrow, so I'll post it then.
Try relocating the file noted above to some other location and see if that helps your version of WeatherCat use less memory. You'll lose your custom gauges, but you'll get back back when you put the file back in its original folder. If it turns out that is the problem, you might want to have fewer custom gauges at least until Apple fixes the memory leak.
Cheers, Edouard . . .
