On the subject of 4 variables in the custom graphs, I wish there were a better way to represent the scale than 1,2, 3 or 4 columns at both ends. When displaying graphs, it is logical to match the linear time scale so that adjacent graphs represent the same time period with the same chart length. Because having more variables decreases the graph length within the window, windows of the same size but with a different number of variables have mismatched time scales. I'd like to see the scale marked within the graph, but I'm sure that brings up color code matching issues with filled plots.
What about using a manual 'column space control' that would allow the operator to set graphs with less than 4 variables to the desired number of empty + filled columns? That way, one 4 variable chart can match in chart width, single to 3 variable adjacent charts with the same window size.
