Custom Gauges to be Translucent
« on: October 19, 2014, 06:43:35 AM »
I don't know how everyone else feels about the new gauges in WC2, but as I've said before, "I love 'em!" err? except for one small thing. They're semi-transparent. Because of that I'm rather locked into using desktop backgrounds that are monotone so that the image doesn't bleed through. Because, if it does, it destroys the illusion of an actual gauge. This was brought home to me recently when I downloaded some desktop images to use with the gauges that had an industrial look. However the bleeding pattern killed the look, so I couldn't use them.

I was wondering if we could get a control to be able to set the transparency. Personally, I can't think of any instance where I would want semitransparent gauges, but I'm not everybody. Someone probably wants them. It's a wee complaint, I know.

What do you think?  [cheers1]
Herb

Interesting point Herb - what are people's thoughts on this?

For me personally I do have no problem with the transparency of the custom gauges. But I can understand Herb - if it is not a big thing to add a control to this one, then ...  :D

Cheers,
