UV Sensor WMR 200
« on: March 18, 2014, 07:17:45 AM »
Hello to everybody,

I'm a new weathercat user and I have a question to the optional UV sensor for a WMR 200.
The UV Sensor is not read from the data logger. If the station runs in "live" mode the UV sensor
is valid and the values are shown in the program. Is this a problem from weathercat or a defect
station WMR 200. I borrowed another WMR 200 main unit with the same effect. Perhaps another
WMR 200 owner can say something to this problem.

Thank's a lot and regards from Bayreuth, Germany.

Dear Sven76 and WeatherCat fans,

Hello to everybody,

Welcome to the WeatherCat forum!

I'm a new weathercat user and I have a question to the optional UV sensor for a WMR 200.

I just did a search of the forum and can confirm that since WeatherCat 1.1.1 the UV sensor has been supported.  Here is the tread about it:

So as long as you have the current release of WeatherCat, there should be no problem on the software end.

The other user who initially had a problem and it was solved goes by the handle UncleBuck.  You might try sending him a Private Message and see if can help you troubleshoot your problem.  You can do this from UncleBuck's profile page:

Hope that is at least something to go on.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Hi Sven,
I have sent you a couple of PM's about this but now I have realised exactly what your issue is and have found I have the same issue. To work out if I did have the same issue I went back through my WC log files looking for a time when I new had a power failure here and loaded historical data after the failure.
You are right..... All historical data was loaded EXCEPT the data for the UV sensor.

What have you got your data logger set to? I have mine set to 1 so it logs the data every minute meaning I can store up to 19 days of values for all my sensors.

Making sure I fully understand your issue (and mine), does this describe it in a different way......

Base connected to WC :- no issues, all data transfers to WC
Base NOT connected to WC :- no issues, data is stored on the base
Base reconnected to WC :- issue, all historical data EXCEPT UV is loaded into WC

Hi UncleBuck and Edouard,

thanks for your help. Unclebuck, it looks like we are heaving the same problem.
I can not run my Imac 24/7. This means base is not connected some hours or days.
In this time the UV values are stored in the logger. If i reconnect the base no historical
UV values are transmitted to WC.

Base connected to WC: no issues!
WC is not running and base is disconnected: Base stores data to the logger. I hope base is doing this.
Base will reconnected to WC: historical data is transmitted to WC - all sensor data is available EXCEPT UV values. UV shows 0 all day!
