Export only some data?
« on: November 16, 2013, 11:38:53 PM »
Is it possible to export only some data?  I don't have some of the devises for recording and so they are alway 0.  Also I don't always want the Indoor Temp but do want Outdoor.  So is there a way to pick and choose what gets exported and it would be nice if one could set the data by just the hour or day.

I am new to WeatherCat so may just be missing something.

WeatherCat supports both exporting Hourly data (over a user defined Date range) and Daily data (which gets stored in your ../Documents/WeatherCatExports folder).
See screenshot on where you can do this.

The CSV format allows for easy importing into the Numbers.app or (cough) Excel, from where you can delete the columns with the variables you don't need.

HTH.

I can see the hourly but i don't see a way to get the daily?

Importing into numbers and then deleting columns all the time is a pain.  Would be much better if one could pick and choose those columns before the Export.  Even better would it allowed you to  save that export as a template for future use.

Good suggestion - I'll add it to the feature request list. Thanks for posting  [tup]
