Scroll by year / Manually enter date range
« on: September 03, 2013, 06:59:08 PM »
Where WC presents a calendar to pick the date/date range to process information (such as the Data Export 'Use Specific Date Range' option), allow users to either manually type a date or scroll by year.  Currently if you try to pick a date a few years in the past you have to click many many many time to get the correct calendar date.

Hi Monymony,
Agreed, for that usage scenario there is a problem. It used to be direct date/time entry, but there were two problems with this approach - firstly the date entry fields are subject to interpretation when localised (i.e. month/day transposition) and secondly most exports people do are relatively short term exports - i.e. yesterday, last week, last month - the calendars are quicker for these types of date ranges which form the majority of the exports.

I'll look at the UI to see if there's anything we can do to improve it.

Cheers,
Stu.
