FYI: Sister's back operation appears to have gone well.

Dear WeatherCat fans,

As the old-guard know, I've been really scarce around here because I've been so busy.  One of the major miseries has been my sister broken vertebrae.  She broke it back in October and since she lives here with us, we've been trying to help her as best we could.  Well, the operation to repair the bones was yesterday and after 24 hours it appears to be a complete success.  So hopefully one heavy burden will start to ease soon.

I'm in the patient's room right now thanks to an iPad.  There is no easy way to recover from a 5 hour operation, but things are going as well as could be hoped.

Howdy Stu, JC, Reinhard, and WeatherCat well-wishers,

In something of a surprise, the hospital released my sister today and no time at a convalescence hospital will be necessary.  So she is back home and recuperating from the hospital stay as well the the surgery.  Hopefully things will be calming down in my diggin's reasonably soon.
