my name is Pasqualino De Marco. I am the developer of WS40 Weather Station 40, a WordPress plugin that brings personal weather station data online, and I took over meteotemplate.com from its original author, Jachym. Many Meteotemplate users are moving to WS40.
I'm writing to let you know that the specification of WS40 Meteotemplate v2 is now published:
https://www.weatherstation40.live/developers/It is an evolution of the Meteotemplate API:
- a simple HTTPS request with the same field names as Meteotemplate v1;
- new fields: daily maximum and minimum values with their times, rain of last month and last year, extra temperature and humidity channels, soil and leaf sensors, particulate matter and battery status;
- every value is checked against published limits, and the server answers OK on success;
- v1 stays active.
Meteobridge is already testing it in a beta. It would be great to have WS40 Meteotemplate v2 among the services WeatherCat can upload to, so WeatherCat users can publish their station on their own WordPress site. I'm happy to give you a free test account, answer any question on the specification and test a beta build.
