Here’s a weird one for you -
I have a Davis Vantage Pro 2 wireless ISS and 2 consoles and a WLL Bluetooth transmitter.
I was looking at my station readings after a nice rainfall yesterday and noticed something odd.
Both consoles and my website (using WeatherCat, attached by a USB link from the main console to my Mac and then out to the website) read, quite accurately, that we got .84 inch of rain in the last 24 hours. CWOP, Davis Bulletin and WU – all fed by the WLL directly – read significantly less all day, and this morning are saying .64 inch of rain in the last 24 hours.
I did notice during the day yesterday that the two didn’t match, and assumed perhaps the WLL was simply behind, but that is obviously not the case.
I disabled the WLL from casting to CWOP, and allowed WeatherCat to cast – and bingo, CWOP now says .84” for the last 24 hours!
I am the only ISS within 5 miles, so it isn’t an issue of cross interference.
I’m at a loss as to why the WLL would read differently from the consoles.
Ideas?
