And the United States = The Banana system

This joke will be lost on our non-UK WeatherCatters. Pie in the Sky was a British television show about a detective-turned-restaurateur named Henry Crabbe.

It's a good joke, Blick, even without knowledge of the British TV show. "Pie in the Sky" is well known as an idiom for 'something good that is unlikely to happen.'

Such as, "I have pie in the sky plans for my stock market returns."  [tup]

Thanks for that TV show reference, though. I love watching British TV, even if it carried by American PBS. I'll watch for it.
