Wunderground not displaying internal temperature
« on: January 14, 2015, 11:52:53 PM »
The wunderground web site does not display the internal temperature and humidity my Davis weather logger collects and sends to weathercat, even if I am logged into their web site. Their iPad app says it will display this data if one is logged into wunder underground through the app, but no luck. I have sent a support query to them, but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

I am unable to display most of my data using their WunderStation app for iPad. I login to my station, but when I open the app, I get this message: We can't connect now. Dark clouds pass without warning, Try again later. It is connecting because it displays the external temperature and humidity but no other widgets display anything.

I have received the "dark clouds" message when my wi fi connection would drop, but only then.

Their bug (Re: Wunderground not displaying internal temperature )

Dear Chet, Blick, and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

I just fired up the WunderStation app on my iPad and it stubbornly insisted it had no temperature and pressure history data.  If I go my station on the Weather Underground website, all the data is there.  So I think we can safely assume that this iPad app has . . . . . "issuez."  We'll just have to wait for a fix.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

With WeatherCat now uploading Internal temperature data to Weather Underground, has anyone been able to see their internal data on Weather Underground? Or on the iPad Weather Underground "weather widgets" app? I can't find anywhere how to view it - no settings, no options, nada.

It does not display on your WU station. The only place you can see it is on the iPad WunderStation.app. However, when I opened my app to tell you how to display it, my app reported that my station is not reporting data. I then went online and confirmed that WU is down at the minute.

When it comes back up I will tell you how to get internal data on your iPad app.

I can now see my internal temperature using the iPad WU app, both as the 'house' symbol (temp & humidity) and the graph (temp & humidity), but I get a 'no data available for highs and lows yet' to the right of the 'house' symbol.

I can never see any data in any widget unless I have selected graph mode. So in the Indoor - Today widget I can see a graph of my internal temp and humidity but I see nothing in the other mode. The message you are getting that states: There's no data available for highs and lows yet is permanent. I have never seen any data in that field.

Bottom line: This app is not yet ready for prime time.

Unless you're using the WeatherCat beta 2.1, WC will not transmit inside data to Wunderground and thus, no internal data will download to the app. For several days I was using the beta and this worked fine on the iPad app, but I reverted back after some problems. Will try again when 2.1 is out.

Just figured it out! In order to view internal temperature/humidity data one has to be signed in on their WeatherUnderground account within the iPad app WunderStation. I had been using the app but never noticed the sign-in option. Once I agreed to terms of service and signed in, the option for internal data became available. Voil?. Appreciate the tips above. It got me looking twice at the problem.
