Localization to Japanese

If interested, I'd be glad to work on the localization of WeatherCat to Japanese. It might be a little challenging to translate some of the weather terms, but I think this would be fairly easy given that I've been in Japan more then 20 years, and my wife is a professional translator.

By the way, I'll be generating both English and Japanese pages once WeatherCat has the support for multi-byte UTF-8 characters.

Sounds good! It's a lot of work though - you'll need to translate a few hundred strings and a few tens of resources using XCode - this can be challenging and tedious work. If you're still interested let me know and I'll get the required resources together when we do the localisation on the 1.2 development.

The UTF-8 support is scheduled for the V2 development if it's possible (there may be OS limitations that prevent it - yeah I know, you wouldn't think so) so I can get plenty of testing on it.

I'm still interested, so how about rolling the strings and the resources together. I'll take a look and estimate the effort. In any case, I'm sure to learn something.

By the way, I already have XCode installed for other reasons, so changing the resources shouldn't be difficult.

So we're in a position now where I can add the Japanese resources to the 1.2 builds - if you're still interested, let me know and I'll get them in for the next dev. release.
