A couple of minor issues
« on: March 25, 2023, 11:09:32 PM »
I just completed migrating my WeatherCat install to a new Mac Mini with M2 processor and of course running MacOS 13.2 Ventura. There are couple of things I noticed that would be great to get changed. Maybe these have been around a while but not sure.

1. The new Mac Mini is connected to a 4K monitor and I notice that the fonts used in WeatherCat are very soft and fuzzy around the edges. Blurry would be a good way to describe them. This includes all the menu items. Pretty much all text in the application is somewhat blurry.

2. While debugging an issue with a completely unrelated service I noticed a syslog message from WeatherCat. This message is repeated every minute and is "Tweeter: Nothing to post at this time". I assume that this is for the Twitter feature but not sure. I do not have a Twitter account and have never configured WeatherCat to use it. Creating syslog (or any logging) messages should be useful. All this Tweeter log does is create a lot of unneeded noise when one is trying to find useful information.  I think a simple commenting out of a line of code in WeatherCat would silence this nicely.

Anyway, it would be great if the next update to WeatherCat could get rid of the needless tweeter logging and update the UI to be more aesthetically compatible with the newer MacOS variants.

Thanks,

-David

David: Welcome to the WeatheCat forum. When Edouard logs in he may move your post to another place where it is more likely to be read by the developer. In the  meantime, glad to have you aboard.
