Thanks for sharing.  I'm on the OWC email list since that my source for hard drives.  There was another article I believe last week that was also interesting by the same author.  It was on optimizing browsers:

I glanced over it, but didn't have time to look carefully at some of the optimization tricks.  Maybe someone else can tell us about it.
