Select date in statistics and charts
« on: January 02, 2017, 10:36:49 PM »
Dear all
Happy new year to everyone !

I've been using WC for a while now but there is one thing I still do not understand:
In the Statistics tool, in the monthly tab, how can I change the month date ?
I'd like to see other months than the current one. Is that possible ?

Same question for charts, i have yearly charts for rain and min/max temperature but how can I see those charts for previous years ?

Is this something that can be added in a future version ?

Thanks for your help.
Best regards
Jvince

Dear Jvince and WeatherCat community,

Dear all
Happy new year to everyone !

By all means Happy New Year to you too!  :)

I'd like to see other months than the current one. Is that possible ?

There is no way that I know of to see other months from that pane - only the current month.  However, you can generate a very similar (if more detailed) NOAA Styled Reports under the Tools Menu.

Same question for charts, i have yearly charts for rain and min/max temperature but how can I see those charts for previous years ?

You can use the WeatherCat controller to set what you are viewing on the graphs.  It is described on page 30 of the current WeatherCat manual.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Thank you Edouard for your reply.

NOAA reports are indeed great for what I wanted to do.

Regarding charts, since mine are anchored, apparently I cannot change the time range.

Thanks for your help.

Dear Vince and WeatherCat feature-o-holics,

NOAA reports are indeed great for what I wanted to do.

These were a welcome addition to WeatherCat,

Regarding charts, since mine are anchored, apparently I cannot change the time range.

I guess you are correct.  Graphs that are anchored cannot be used to view data in the past.  You would have to create new custom scrolling graphs to view past data.  I suppose that makes sense, anchored graphs only make sense in certain historical context.

Cheers, Edouard
