Weather Cat and Meteobridge.
« on: February 02, 2016, 06:18:11 AM »
Hi all

I have recently installed a Meteobridge unit to handle my weather uploads. Saves having the computer handle that and many other tasks and crashes.

I was using Weather Cat before, but now I am trying to get it to see the Meteobridge. I've told weather cat to look for weather link IP and entered the IP address, but it still can't find the data. It just throws me back to the select station dialog.

I have the Meteobridge password protected, could this be the problem, or is it something else. The computer and the Meteobridge are both on the same wired network.

Thanks.

1. If you are using a Davis weather-station and
2.  if it is connected to your Meteobridge, direct by USB or via lan-IP ( if it is a WL-ip logger )

then you can to instruct one other weather-program to read the weather-data from the IP-address of the METEOBRIDGE using port 22222
So NOT the IP of the WL-IP logger but the IP of the Meteobridge and use the "standard' WL-IP port of 22222

The Meteobridge is tunneling (pass-through) all requests between WeatherCat and the Davis-logger and will not interfere with anything.

I too have a Meteobridge and use WeatherCat.

WeatherCat can be a bit fickle about getting the Meteo data and sometimes on restart of WeatherCat, I have to restart a few more times before it sees the Meteobridge and accesses the data.

Make sure that your Meteobridge is assigned a static IP.
A clear conscience is a great pillow.

Thanks. I've got an Oregan Scientific WMR200 hooked to the Meteobridge. I'll try the advise in the next reply and see how I go.

Thanks again.
