Problems with WeatherCat
« on: June 14, 2015, 12:39:25 PM »
Hello

I have problem with my installation

All sensors at working well  but the barometric pressure is not updated, it stays in 1000 hpa all the time

I se on my station that it should be 1010,8

Any good idea how to fix this problem?
I run a WS-2080 station

Best regards

I don't know why you are having this problem but a prudent thing to try is resetting the station.  You'll find the instructions on the WeatherCat Wiki page for Fine Offset stations:

http://wiki.trixology.com/index.php/Fine_Offset

The instructions are almost at the bottom of the page.

Let us know if that gets your station to work properly once more.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Hello Edouard

Thanks for your replay

I have tried to reset my station, but I am afraid it did not help.

The strange thing is , then I try with other software, the barometric pressure is downloaded correct, so I think, maybe this is a WeatherCat problem?

I hope someone have a good solution to my problem

Cheers Tore

These stations output absolute pressure, so needs to be converted to relative pressure from your height. The constant 1000hPa is an indication WeatherCat thinks your pressure is invalid. You can check this in the Live Data View.

If it does say the data is invalid, check your height as entered into WeatherCat's 'Location/Colours' pane of its preferences. Note that the height is entered in metres. The second thing to check is any calibration you have applied to the pressure in WeatherCat's Calibration window (Misc 2->Set Calibration Data). Set this to 0 if it isn't already.
