WeatherCat server on port 49250
« on: January 20, 2015, 01:27:40 PM »
I was wondering if there is any documentation describing the data packet returned from a connection to port 49250 as used by the client software.

I am thinking of knocking something together on my Linux system at work to show me current readings and this seemed like the easiest way to get at the current data.

some of the values are fairly obvious, but many others less so!

Dave.

It isn't documented, maybe in the future I'll do a simple to use public one.

If you are running a web-server, look at the custom CGI feature - that can send data to any web-server at frequent intervals.

OK, thanks.

I mostly expected that to be the case :-)

I will look into custom CGI.

Thanks,
