Rain incorrect data from station to weather cat
« on: February 02, 2014, 11:07:37 AM »
Hi,
I have 2 questions I need help with.

Wondering if anyone can help. Im having a regular problem where the rainfall data doesn't seem to always transfer correctly. I am aware this can be changed in Rain editor but it can be frustrating when it is about 20mm out and I'm forever changing them. Any ideas?

Also when in the statistics page it shows the current month in a nice layout. How can I look at the month previous in this nicely layed out view.? I always get to the end of the month and can't seem to work out how to go back if there is a way.

Many Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark
Do you have any thing changed in the Preference/Misc2/Set Calibration Data
this is only thing that I know would change the readings from the console to WeatherCat

the other you can find information in your Library/Documents/WeatherCat Reports/2014 for each day or for Last year 2013

hope this helps

cheers

Hi Mark,
In addition to Randall's advice, check the raw rain reading in the data editor/viewer - it should smoothly increase throughout the day (assuming it's raining). If it drops to 0 then goes back up again that'll be the problem - just edit the 0 up to the previous value to correct it (reboot WeatherCat after the edit). These zero's shouldn't come through from the console in real time but they sometimes appear in corrupt data logger records.
