More data for the client
« on: April 14, 2012, 05:48:33 PM »
I would like to see more data available to the client. Here is a start:

-- Evapotranspiration (ETO) when available
-- Soil temperature and moisture measurements when available

And a XML (Property List) structure for the transmitted data. I know, it's more lengthy, but oh, so much easier to expand and manage.

I'd like to see more client features too...It took me awhile and a few dollars to figure out all the hardware I needed to get Davis weather stations to publish online. I have my MacMin running Weathercat, which also feeds other weather outlets. But, I like to use it remotely from my other computers, as well as when I'm not home. Sure, I can use screensharing to connect to it anytime, but weathercat client would be more elegant and easier.
I would like to see Weathercat Client eventually support all the functionality of WeatherCat.

I know this thread is a bit old but I just wanted to second the idea that the client support all the reporting functionality of the main WeatherCat program.

Thanks-
