The Official Merry Christmas Thread
« on: December 21, 2013, 04:42:30 PM »
We're almost into Christmas week now, so rather than having Merry Christmas's and Happy Holiday's messages all over the forum - this is the thread to do it in :)

I'll go first:
Everybody here that keeps Trixology up and running (Stu, Cath and Jess, not to mention the hard working cats that churn out the WeatherCat code - Meg, Blacky and Patch) wishes you all a Very Merry Christmas!

Dear Stu, Randall, Reinhard, and WeatherCat fans,

Okay, I'll toss in my contribution even if I normally would wait a bit longer.

Thanks very much to Stu, Cath and Jess and of course Meg, Blacky and Patch.  You forgot to mention your Land Rover!

I had prepared an image for Christmas cards a few weeks ago and so I can share it with you:

Admittedly it is a bit gloomy as are the circumstances I find myself in these days.  Surprisingly, the trusty wagon got to come home yesterday quite unexpectedly.  Quite a few of the problems with the engine turned out to be the fault of a distributor that somehow got rotated 9 degrees off between the dynamometer session and installation.  That caused the spark plug ignition to occur later than intended making the engine perform poorly and be extremely loud.

Still, 2013 has been a jinxed year for me from one end to the other.  So I wish you'all and the whole world a new year that really breaks us out of the rut we find ourselves in.

Tellin' it like it is, Edouard

Merry Christmas to all WeatherCats everywhere, from high in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, where we received a foot of snow in the last 24 hours. I am especially appreciative to each of you who helped me jump to WeatherCat from another piece of software in 2013. I'm so glad I did and thanks again for your assistance.

I am attaching a photo taken a few minutes ago from the front porch. Note the snow covered elk on the right.  ;)

A very Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to Stu and his gang, and to you all on the forum from a wet and windy Wales. My hobbies being bird-ringing and lepidtoptera trapping I am on several forums, but WC is the friendliest and most homely of them all with global interest. Its good to know you all.

Version 1.24 up and running smoothly.

No snow at present but this is how it was in 2010 looking from the house.

I hope all of you have a very merry Christmas and happy New Year! We are spending Christmas away from home for the first time in 25+ years, going to our daughter's in her new home this afternoon and staying overnight. Then going to visit extended families until the 30th so we can come home in time to make goodies for new year's eve.

Be safe, and keep warm!
