Good information regarding the battery! I always presumed that it was getting charged during the day. There's a battery voltage readout on the base station, but I never really pay much attention to it. Perhaps it's time...

Normally I would agree with you, but since this battery has lasted 6 years now in harsh winter conditions, I am determined to see just how long it will last. I'm sure this means I will be out there during a blizzard changing it out one of these days, but I just have to know how long it will go. I called Davis for their opinion and they said let it go until the console shows low battery. They also told me "two or three years" is their expectation for battery life.

Normally I would agree with you, but since this battery has lasted 6 years now in harsh winter conditions, I am determined to see just how long it will last. I'm sure this means I will be out there during a blizzard changing it out one of these days, but I just have to know how long it will go.

Ha ha! How can I forgot? And this from the man who changes his every year! Just think, during the last 6 years, I have spent about $12 less for batteries compared to you! When I lived in the UK, that would have bought me a Happy Meal.  :)
