Serial to USB adapter
« on: November 25, 2013, 10:57:49 PM »
My Keyspan 2 port serial adapter ran glitch free with the old LWC application and 10.5.8, but since switching over to Weathercat on Mavericks, I've had frequent unexplained kernel panics.
My station is a Monitor 2. Can anyone with a Monitor 2, running OS10.9 recommend a serial adapter that works well with my hardware and OS? (iMac 27)

Thanks

My Monitor 2 runs WC on an old Keyspan USA-28 with V2.6 Keyspan Serial Assistant software under Mavericks on my MacPro without any real problems. I have to connect it to one of the front USB connections for reliability, but it?s always been that way! So can?t really make any suggestions on what your problem might be apart from making sure you have the latest driver for your adaptor.

Thanks Noel,

I found a good driver on the Tripplite download page :
http://www.tripplite.com/EN/support/downloads/software-literature-downloads.cfm
I must have installed either a corrupt driver from another site or the wrong version.
