Superfluous files
« on: May 04, 2013, 07:20:12 AM »
Can't seem to find the answer to the following.  Using the Custom Web pages facility in WC preferences I've found it no problem in loading my desired pages. However It also generates all the graph jpgs which I'm not really interested in displaying furthermore they are being automatically uploaded to my webserver.  Because of my location I'm on a bandwidth challenged connection.

Is there anyway of preventing the upload of these files?  Am I missing something glaringly obvious!!

Peter.

Hello Peter,
On a custom web run, all the gauges and basic graphs are generated and saved to disk, but they are not uploaded unless actually referenced by a tag in the template. You can see which files WeatherCat is uploading by switching on the FTP logging from the Misc 2 pane of its preferences.

Hope this helps,
Stu.

I knew it ................  [banghead]

Thanks Stu,  if I'd only opened up the ftp window more to reveal the file dates I would have seen it. Console/ftp logging confirms it.
