Just a survey

I have noticed that my WC Dock icon was showing one correct selection from the Prefs->Units/Misc1 settings but also part of a second selection. For example:

Temp
82.3
Falling

While both items are correct, the "Falling" actually refers to the Barometer, not the Temperature.

I had 4 or 5 items selected(checked) for the "Dock Icon Shows" and removed all but 1 (Temperature). However, it is still showing the example above. I changed the text color and it displayed the change immediately, so the "Dock Icon Update Time" is not required for changes to show.

Seems no matter what selections I make (Temp and Wind Speed or Wind Chill, or even all three), I always have the barometric trend (Steady, Falling, Rising) showing on the bottom line.

BTW, WC v. 3.05 My "survey" is to simply see if anyone else is seeing a similar Dock icon display: Yea/Nay?

I hate to shut Quit/Restart WC just to see if that corrects the display. We do still get a discount for high continuous time app running, right?

I don't know over what time frame, falling or rising is calculated, but my dock icon in 3.1 works as advertised. It correctly displays falling, rising, or steady for Temp, W Chill, Pressure, Wind Speed and Precipitation.

I believe rising and falling are based on the 1 hour deltas.  I don't have pressure displayed in my dock but everything is working as it is supposed to on my current WeatherCat 3.1 installation.

I may just try the ßeta. Right now, the only way I can get the correct Dock Display is to UN-check all choices in the Dock Icon Shows (displays the WC logo), "Pressure" or select "Update Time" (which uses all three lines). If I select anything else, the Pressure trend displays on the third line. Oh well... I usually keep the mini's monitor turned off, so it's not something I see very often.

Edouard is right - the dock icon shows the 1 hour trend for that item - so if the temperature was 60 an hour ago, and now it's 55, you'll see 'Falling'. Does that explain what you are seeing?

Completely!!! I simply never thought about using a trend for anything but pressure! Being a retired pilot, pressure trends were usually more important than other info. Having that historical info is just another reason WC is so good!! Thanks for taking time to answer my minor concern!!
