Hourly movie looked strange
« on: April 29, 2020, 03:11:08 AM »
I noticed that the Hourly Movies showed a beautiful, sunny day! However, it had sprinkled off and on and was decidedly not sunny. That's when I noticed the time stamp: 16 Apr 2020... Nothing gets by me! cmu:-) [blush]

Checking Console I found that the DailyMovieController was reporting that it "couldn't copy" the "WeatherCat1hrMovie" to CustomWeb folder. At least since the 16th... Fortunately, that controller was renaming the hourly movie to the appropriately named movie with the correct time .mp4.

Still not sure why this started back on the 16th. At first i thought it might have been the Mojave macOS 10.14 Supplemental Update, but I think that was a little over 3 weeks ago. At least the Mac has been running for over 23 days since its last boot. [rolleyes2]
  • I did find that WC was not listed in the Full Disk Access list in the Security & Privacy System Prefs, so I added it.
  • I also noticed that I had not updated WC to 3.0.5, did that also.
I have WC set to stop recording vids after dark, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if these changes made any difference. [computer]

Looking fine now. Still not sure why it happened. I vaguely remember trying to update WC several weeks ago and it didn't seem to "take". That may have removed the app from the Full Access list... or one of those UFO's are still orbiting. cmu:-)
