Dear WeatherCat Musicologists, . . . . .
On Thursday I was listening to JazzRadio.com Guitar Jazz station when I heard something very interesting - but it really wasn't Jazz. The band was called GrooveQuaker. With a name like that I had to investigate! I found this You-Tube video of the band performing:
https://youtu.be/6hWMCFCS6KMThe German band consists of a guitar duo plus an additional fellow that does percussion. No doubt, extremely eclectic music, but I know that Stu and some other guys on this forum are serious guitar players. I thought they might be interested in a very different guitar playing technique.
A little too New Age styled for you? Okay, I've got something else that is simply a lot of fun. Have you heard the Boogie Woogie style of piano?
The following is an excerpt from Jools Holland's "Later" TV Program, September 2009 showing Jools Holland performing with the "ABC and D of Boogie Woogie."
https://youtu.be/H8c52MfpqPsIf you are in a hurry skip past the interview at the beginning and get to the point where the pianos start getting a workout. If you don't get a kick out of this, you may not have a pulse!
