Some way to clear the data-logger from WeatherCat "safe" mode?
« on: February 02, 2015, 11:52:30 PM »
Dear Stu and WeatherCat fans,

This is one of those "when you get around to it" sort of suggestions.  If you own a Davis Weather Envoy, there is no equivalent to "safe mode" where it will ignore data.  When you have to perform maintenance on your station, Davis recommends instead purging the data logger before starting data collection again to avoid getting any erroneous data into your computer.  It is easily done with WeatherLink, but of course Stu has already set his sights on taking over those functions with WeatherCat.  Thus, the suggestion: Could eventually WeatherCat get some way to purge the data logger before connecting to the station so that you can avoid that erroneous data?

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
